ADFF National Futsal Carnival 2015

The annual Inter-service Futsal Championship took place at Pittwater Futsal Complex, Mona Vale on Friday the 30th October. Womes Captain, ABML-SC Amanda Carney lead the squad into their first game of the competition against the RAAF. The RAAF put up a great fight during the first half but unfortunately were unable to maintain the intensity of the match as the Navy ladies were too strong. Putting in a courageous effort in the sweltering hot conditions ABML-SC Jessica Beahan scored 5 goals and SMNBM Maddy Cater scoring a massive 7 goals and the captain scoring 1 which ended the game with an impressive 13-2 win.

After a much needed drink break the girls proceeded to take on arch rivals, Army. The game proved to be an extremly hard hit out with Army and Navy almost going goal for goal. Goal keeper LSML-SC Renee Adams was making some impressive saves in the process to keep Navy in it. At the final whistle Navy ladies proved they were taking this trophy home by winning 6-5. Goals came from AB Beahan (4) and SMN Cater (2). Navy ladies were crowned the ADF Futsal Champions for 2015.

The title could not of been won without an overal team effort. A huge congratulations to all members of the team: ABML-SC Amanda Carney (captain), SMNBM Maddy Cater, ABML-SC Jessica Beahan, ABMT Rachel Hall, LSML-SC Renee Adams, ABCIS Amanda Doyle, LSML-S Nat Lockyer and ABML-SC Kasey Senior (manager).
